Welcome to the 2008 Mary From Dungloe International Festival
As you browse through our programme of events you will see that there is a fantastic line up of street music and a range of children’s activities on offer. La Gaelach on Thursday 31st July is a tasteful display of Irish music, dance, culture and traditions and this year we have introduced a display of Arts and Crafts from the local I.C.A group and an opportunity to sample world renowned local seafood at our Guiness & Oysters display.
For those not afraid to splash we have a jet ski and watercraft display, skiff racing, kayaking, a charity triathlon and of course the ‘build your own raft’ competition – all of which will be great fun.
We welcome our new Marys for 2008 and of course our reigning Mary Kerry Sweeney from Edinburgh. We wish each of them well in the contest but more importantly hope that they have many happy memories of their time in Dungloe
