Welcome to the Mary From Dungloe International Festival

Welcome to the Mary From Dungloe International Festival website. Having just had our 42nd festival, I would like to congratulate and welcome our 2009 Mary From Dungloe Kate Ferguson and bid farewell to last year’s winner Una Rooney.

I would like to thank everyone who helped out at this year’s festival, to the stewards, ticket sellers, office team, Dungloe Fire Brigade, Forbairt na Rosann, Ionad Teampall Chróine, Rosses Community School, Eoin McGarvey, all our friends in the media, and all the local people who willingly participate year on year in organising various community events during the festival.

I would like to thank our funding bodies Donegal County Council and Fáilte Ireland, Randox Laboratories Ltd and all our sponsors, the local traders, McGurks Funfair and those who work hard throughout the world to promote the festival and select Marys to represent them at the festival each year.

I wish all the 2009 Marys well in their futures and hope that they returned home with fond memories and true friends from their time in Dungloe
